Aimee Zygmonski has been a lecturer for the theater history series at UCSC since 2014. Her training is in theater history and dramatic literature writ large, but her research focuses on contemporary African American women playwrights. She has taught previously at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and University of California, San Diego. She is currently the managing director at Santa Cruz Shakespeare, a summer outdoor theater company producing classical texts.
